Native Planting for Municipal Parks and Greenspace Lunch and Learn recording from December 13, 2023

Learn from Julia Robson, Waukesha County Conservation Biologist on how municipalities can transform grass only areas into native landscape.

Establishing native plantings can save municipalities on both mowing and the use of chemical fertilizers. Added benefits include improved erosion control, eliminating the need to mow wet turf areas, greenspace appeal, pollinator and bird attraction as well as an overall improvement of the biodiversity of community parks and greenspace. Julia shares her experience with native species restoration and maintenance of native plantings in Waukesha County.
